You will enjoy your stay, and never want to go       back. Perhaps, you are already here!              This is the attitude here toward anything new among the majority of people:       "If this is done that way, this is *for a reason*". It is an attitude that       can be adopted, but we would have been still in the stone age if we would       REALLY think like this, wouldn't we?              Something about software development is going wrong, Maxim! And it is       neither the proudness, nor the intellectual properties of mine or others       writing about that. I will send you some information on this and I would       advice it to everybody who read this. But are we not alone here? We have       left the subject and speaking about other things, or is this the answer to       the FLOS? ;))              If you are 100% right, there would be NO graphical interface, as all       procedural approaches in the beginning 1970s failed, leading to the OOD the       first time in software history! You will never find a proper, working       solution without the OOD paradigm to the GUI, or do you know about another       working choice for it?              And: if you do split the world in a group of haughty intellectuals and the       rest of people doing business using their common sense, I think this is the       point where you start to look biased at the world of software development.       It should be possible to remain cool and analyse the ideas.              Have you ever programmed with J2EE? Did you have practice with CORBA or       other kinds of interfaces (componentry)? By the way, I am 44, working for       several hardware and software companies. I am now a research associate and       making research projects at the Vienna University of Technology.              http://www.netobjectives.com/resources/rs_articles_ours.htm       http://www.eurescom.de/~public-webspace/P900-series/P907/differen.htm              I will send you a link I couldn't find, but you will see that it is worth to       read.              If you want to, we can continue this discussion by email, as I think that       nobody else is following our discussion FAR away of the FLOS question.              Cordially,       E.
