From: NOSPAM_b.postlethwaite@strath.ac.uk              The process you've got is an overdamped, second-order process and by       multiplying it by 1/s you are inserting a unit step change into the input.       The response you get should have an approximate 's' shape with a final value       (as t tends to infinity) of 0.00375 (0.00375 is the steady-state gain times       the change in the input, which is 1).                            The equation you've got from Maple will settle on 0.1 (the U shouldn't be       there), and so it doesn't look right. I suspect the exponential parts are       incorrect too. Get yourself a control textbook - they're stuffed full of       standard solutions to step changes!                            Regards,                            Bruce Postlethwaite              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
