   In this form it is a meaningless question. It is like to ask if there is a   
   criteria to choose between odd, prime and perfect numbers.   
      
   The class of membership functions is determined by the way of fuzzy set   
   construction, i.e. ultimately by some a priori knowledge about the   
   application problem.
