From: quadibloc@invalid.invalid              Two additional changes, in the category of tweaks and corrections, have       been made.              Now, I've finally squeezed back in to the main instruction set without       headers a Supplemental Load/Store instruction, to allow loads and stores       of exotic data types like Simple Floating, Compatible Floating Point,       Register Packed Decimal, and so on. There was opcode space to give the two-       register operate instructions the ability to calculate on such       quantities... now, by imposing severe limitations on the load/store       instructions, I have the ability to also load and store data of these       types without needing a block header.              Also, as the appropriate portion of opcode space was completely unused       otherwise, I gave the 16-bit immediate instructions to the standard       Augmented Short Instruction format.              John Savard              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
