      [continued from previous message]              faster if one tells the AV software to stop grinding the CPU by looking       at every file accessed).                     Vs the $80 OptiPlex that came with a 2C/4T Core i3 variant, that wasn't       particularly snappy (seemed on-par with the Vista era laptop; though       this has a 2C/2T CPU).              Basically, was a small PC that was using mostly laptop-style parts       internally (laptop DVD-RW drive and laptop style HDD); some sort of ITX       MOBO layout I think.              I don't remember there being any card slots; so like if you want to       install a PCIe card or similar, basically SOL.              But, it was either this or an off-brand NUC clone...                     ...              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
