Of course the size of arguments       is largely irrelevant in the context of my question, since       (IIUW) parameters will be passed by address (reference).              Anyway, thanks again - maybe someone else (or you again) will       have more stuff to bring. A small amount of lazy googling has       not unearthed much of direct relevance.
