   Does this mean I'm not allowed to "highlight" or 'enlarge' any words
   in my mails by quote marks then ?

   Would any mail-server replace my 0x22 with somthing else,
   or just interprete it different for display ?

   Ok, a can try to circumvent the 0x22 (make it 0x23 or else)

   your post header show:
   Mime-Version: 1.0
   Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8; format=flowed

   Kerr's header:
   Mime-Version: 1.0
   Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-15; format=flowed; delsp=yes
   Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit

   and mine read as:
   Mime-Version: 1.0
   Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed; charset="iso-8859-15";
    reply-type=response

   I thought that "text/plain" means ASCII TAB,CR,LF and 0x20..0x7e.
