      From: daybrown@artelco.com              I live in the Ozarks, and we see the local ISP crash every month or so.       We use two different ISPs on that account. There are also regional       effects, hurricanes, quakes, power grid failure, and perhaps even WMD.              Someone mentioned that modems are getting rare. And packet radio was       mentioned too. both are pretty obsolete. But some kind of long range       wireless would seem to be prudent.              Spoze there is a usb wireless transmitter controller that'd work at       long range low frequencies?
