|    Implementing Exception Handling in a VM    |
|    14 Aug 06 15:09:37    |
From: first.last@orcon.net.nz              Some time ago I wrote a simple Pascal-like language that ran on an       equally simple VM--all implemented in Delphi. I'd like to update the       language to use exception handling constructs such as try-except-end and       try-finally-end.              Given that the implementing language (Delphi, in this case) has SEH, can       I leverage this fact to add exception support in my Pascal-like       language? If so, where might I learn how to do this?              You may have guessed that I'm not a CS graduate, so there are plenty of       holes in my understanding of these matters.              Any suggestions appreciated.              Cheers,       Mark.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
