|    For ETL - SSIS or Scrip    |

From: tfs@dslextreme.com              We are at a company where we are changing their DataMart.              We are looking at whether to do the ETL using SSIS or just use one SQL to do       it (which is how they do it now).              The DBA is for using one SQL procedure to handle it because many sql       developers don't know SSIS and it would be harder to make changes. Right       now he can just hand the procedure to any of his developers to make changes.              This is going to be a complete rewrite as we are redoing the DataMart so the       ETL will change completely. We started to do it with SSIS but ran into this       issue and are just looking at good reasons to use SSIS over the old way.              Thanks,              Tom              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
