I too have the same problem/behaviour when using distributed transaction
with MS DTC. More information about my environment:

   WebServer:
   - Windows 2000 Advance Server
   - Oracle Data Provider for .NET (9.2.0.4)
   - .NET Framework 1.1
   - COM+

   Database:
   - Windows 2003 Standard Edition
   - Oracle Database 9i

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
