   People periodically post questions to the comp.databases.oracle newsgroup   
   and may wonder why there are very few responses.   
      
   Basically, comp.databases.oracle is NOT a newsgroup anymore, but rather   
   just a pointer or place holder to the correct newsgroups.  Several years   
   ago, the group 'attendees' decided to split the group into subgroups.   
   Since this was a formal decision, many news servers that are set up to   
   follow standards no longer carry the posts in this group.   
      
   If you want answers, please post to ONE OF the appropriate groups   
      
   comp.database.oracle.misc   
   comp.database.oracle.server   
   comp.database.oracle.tools   
   comp.database.oracle.marketplace
