   The first thing my Google search showed indicates WMI stands for Waste   
   Management Institute.   
      
   I guess you are probably talking about a Microsoft API.   
      
   I further guess you are talking about the Windows Management   
   Instrumentation SDK.  If so, IMO the power of the Oracle Enterprise   
   Manager that comes with the Oracle products (included in the product   
   license) negates the need.   
      
   Now if you're talking about CIM as defined by dtmf   
   (http://www.dtmf.org), to which [this latter definition of] WMI is   
   supposed to be compliant, one might note that both Oracle and Microsoft   
   are on the board so a search of CIM and Oracle might be more useful.
