From: info@sundialservices.com              Depending on your system configuration, you might get "BDE Error $251E" and       other equal weirdnesses. These problems can crop up at various times, such       as following an upgrade.              Generally speaking, errors of this type probably have to do with the "shared       memory" segment that is used by BDE (the database engine) to communicate       with clients. BDE attempts to allocate this buffer during the first       startup, using defaults for SHARED MEM LOCATION and SHARED MEM SIZE.              (1) The default memory-location is probably "0x6BDE" and the size "2048"(K).              (2) You might need to fiddle with the parameters, literally, to find out       what fixes the problem.              (3) If you are using an emulated environment, such as Linux "Wine," or if       you are using a recent version of Windows which supports emulation of       earlier releases, you might have to explore these settings.              ----       ChimneySweep(R): Fast(!) table repair at a click of the mouse!       http://www.sundialservices.com              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
