   The output is indeed being sorted on the field used to define the group,   
   the records are coming out in alphabetical order of field 1, which forms   
   the group band, exactly as I want. But it is what happens to the records   
   within each group that I am concerned about. I don't want them sorted at   
   all, yet they are being sorted on fields 2 and 3.
