|    Autoinc "skipped a beat"...?    |
|    09 Feb 07 12:43:19    |
From: usenet@soleSPAMLESSassociates.com              Howdy,              Yesterday, for a modest group emailing, I needed to build a       table of 60 records and did that in P9.              My first field (keyed) was an autoinc. (I know the reasons       to avoid using an autoinc field, but was not joining to any       other table, and would not use this table again so went with       the convenience.)              This morning, I had to add two records to the table, and was       surprised to see that the autoinc "skipped" a few beats,       that is, instead of entering "61", the next integer in       sequence, it jumped to 63, and then 64.              It is of no consequence in my situation, but I was wondering       if someone could tell me why that might happen.              Thanks,       --       Kenneth              If you email... Please remove the "SPAMLESS."              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
