|    Error: BDE config filename is invalid    |

From: duffaddress@ananzi.co.za.invalid              Hi,              My laptop is set up to connect to the network with the BDE idapi.cfg       including a common correct location for the .net file on the server.              Away from the network this causes a 'can't connect to network .....' error       and I select the option to continue with the network disabled.              I have tried putting              -o "C:\Program Files\Borland\Common Files\Bde\pandora.cfg"              in the properties of a second startup shortcut, 'pandora.cfg' being a BDE       configuration saved with C:\ as the location for the .net file              I get the error message              "BDE config filename is invalid. using default"              I have tried putting just the filename, putting it into the startup       directory, and various other fiddles. No luck.              (I found enumEngineInfo which will give the cfg file used by inference on       the .net file location)              Any simple thing that I must do to make this work please? I have dug into       past posts to the group but find nothing to help.                     -----       Anne Wainwright       Please reply to group              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
