Each computer on our       network had its own install of winfax, and its own modem. With many users       in the office, that setup became unacceptable.              So, we set up winfax server and paid a programmer to program oleauto for       winfax. But that was quite expensive, and Symantec dropped support for       wWinfax's server capabilities and for oleauto. The programmer moved       elsewhere and we were unable to replace him.              Finally, we replaced Winfax with Activefax, which we love. It has robust       server and client capabilities. You print to it like a printer, but it has       a kind of oleauto capability, and is simple to use and does not require       oleauto programming know-how so we can easily maintain it internally. It       can send faxes as faxes, or can send them as PDF files. It's easy to       install, setup and maintain. It is extremely reliable.              We loved the Winfax interface, but it fell behind in its ability to meet our       needs.              Jean              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
