   If they recently changed this, and didn't turn off oplocks and disk   
   caching, that could potentially lead to corruption.  That may not be   
   your GPV, but if you're not kept in the loop as far as server changes,   
   you should be concerned about this kind of thing.   
      
   In my experience, the network guys couldn't care less what you thing you   
   need (oplocks off) and won't do it unless you watch them like a hawk.
