   I think your IT folks might find other papers from MS which suggest that   
   Disabling Op-Locks might SOLVE problems, PREVENT corruption, etc... In   
   fact, some of the MS papers might even STRONGLY RECOMMEND that Op-Locks   
   be disabled where multi-user database apps are deployed (but, perhaps,   
   based on the OS environment)...
