   I don't have Vista, so I'm only guessing here... but I know that XP did not   
   ship with NetBIOS installed.  One had to actually manually install the   
   NetBIOS protocol.  Possibly you should install NetBIOS and use "Mapped"   
   network locations which are set to reconnect at log-on.
