   IIRC, If the .exe file size is > 1MB, it may be TurboPAL.  If it is smaller   
   than that, then it was probably written in C/C++/Pascal with the old Paradox   
   Engine, which you could use to write data access routines on Paradox that   
   were often far faster than using QBE or PAL.   
      
   Incidentally, it should probably scare the heck out of you that you don't   
   know this, and evidently don't have the source for this.  :-)
