|    Gigabit over Cat5    |

From: rlindsey@TAKETHISOUTazuma.com              We are currently using Paradox 8 with everyone on gigabit NICs and switches.       I've always had seemingly random problems occurring such as unable to open a       table with a TCursor even with only one Paradox open. I've check cabling and       switches, etc. but I never thought to look at the actual cable type.              I recently that we have a few cables that are only Cat5 and not Cat5e.              I've heard from some that gigabit over Cat5 is unstable and that Cat5e or       Cat6 is required. I've also heard from others that Cat5 is fine. Do any of       you have any experience with this?              Thanks,              Ryan Lindsey              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
