   Hi Trevor,   
      
   Well it would only apply if you are now using TCP/IP, so you need to confirm   
   that first. If you install packet monitoring software you will be able to   
   see any delays - of course a general network delay should also affect other   
   network intensive applications (non client/server of course).   
      
   Thinking back, some people resolved speed issues by installing the netbeui   
   or IPX (or whatever) protocols - they *are* available on the original   
   windows installation disks just buried !!
