   In many ways, I think that what happened with Paradox is typical of what
   happened to both Borland and Corel: they really forgot "what t'heck they
   were doing." It no longer was possible to say, in a short sentence, just
   what they "did."

   Maybe Embarcadero will change that; maybe it'll just be another holding-pen
   for (foolishly) cast-off digital assets.

   At the end of the day, though, millions of code-writers need good, efficient
   tools to do their jobs. Not "to talk about how good it's going to be," but
   to actually do it. There is always going to be a market for great tools,
   and it seems odd that a company that literally founded itself on Turbo
   Pascal, forgot that rune so quickly.
