From: modridirkac@email.si              Yesterday one of my cutonmers tried to install my application on Win 2003       server 64 bit.       My setup.exe (created with install shield for pdox 7) did not even start.              So i had to manually copy folders with my app, runtime and BDE and       import registry settings (this is my standard procedure for network setup       and I have       done it at least 200 times before).              But to my surprise, pdox did not start, and also BDE did not work properly.       BDE just forgot any change i made to it in bdeadmin32.exe. It also did not       update registry when I changed cfg file.              So I deleted everything and INSTALLED bde with bde52setup.exe.       There I checked "Support Win16 and Win32 BDE" and installed it.       After that it worked OK. I also noticed, that there is nothing in registry,       so I assume it uses some INI files or something??              Question: Is it OK to install BDE in this way or am I missing something?              Thx Jure              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
