From: modridirkac@email.si              First of all, you should at least get a copy of patadox and       try out a few things, we are talking about here.       So you know at least, how to open a table, form, report,...       Because in a first minute it is very different from access.              In access you File-Open-and then find mdb file.       Then you have list of all tables, forms, reports in that mdb file.       (everything in one file, which you can copy to another computer)              In paradox:       -first you have to set up working environment (aliases, working and private       directory)       -then you can open different objects (tables, forms, reports,...)        AND every object is separate file in file system (or even more files)        (in my system I have over 300 libraries, 500 forms, 1000 reports, 500       tables and all that represents        over 5000 files in my file system)       -also there are some things in OPAL (programming language) code, that I do       not know, how        to convert to access basic. For example TCursor.              Jure              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
