|    Strange Font issue...?    |

From: usenet@soleSPAMLESSassociates.com              Howdy,              I use P9 with XP...              I needed a fixed pitch font for certain things I was doing       in Paradox, and settled on one called Andale Mono.              The only thing about it that did not work well was the       design of the "0" (the Zero.)              It had a dot in the center, and with my tired eyes, that       could be taken for an "8."              So, I used a font editing tool, to remove the dot... Easy       enough...              Today, I noticed that phone numbers seemed to be showing the       dot again.              On more careful study though, it turns out to be something       else:              Using Andale Mono ten point bold, at 100% zoom, causes the       Zero to appear with a "blob" coming in to the center from       the left. At 200% zoom, the Zero looks perfect. When I       return to 100%, the blob comes back. (And, I should add, it       is not trivial in size. It really makes the Zero look like       an Eight,              Next, I tried adding a text entry to the form with a string       of zeros. They looked fine, until I ran the form. Then, they       had the "blob."              Finally, I tried all this with a new blank form, and the       font displays properly whatever I try. So, the problem does       seem to be with the particular form.              Might you have a guess about what could cause this sort of       thing? And short of rebuilding the form, might there be       something I could do to correct the problem?              Many thanks,       --       Kenneth              If you email... Please remove the "SPAMLESS."              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
