   Hi Barb,   
      
   Perhaps you have installed an older version of the BDE. Earlier versions of   
   the BDE (version 3 I think) do not work with FAT32 and had other issues that   
   have since been resolved. Can you confirm the version of idapi.dll that is   
   being used, and also check there is only one on the machine.
