   Whilst I am not a Tech, I too had problems similar to what you describe. My   
   resolution in the end was to delete the Paradox related *.cfg files and start   
   again.  In short, 'Paradox crash because it has lost it's relationship road   
   map. Another file that    
   seems to cause issues that defy explanation is the toolbar.  If you delete   
   that, it is very easy to rebuild another one with the settings you want.
