   Job Description:     
       
   The Senior IT Database Administrator position is a designated technical   
   resource within the DBA Team with primary responsibility for the operational   
   support of our client’s Database management systems on a full-time basis.   
       
   Requirement:   
       
   • Minimum 5 years' experience in Oracle Database Administration on Windows   
   and Linux operating Systems, including system monitoring, performance tuning,   
   database security baselining, scripting, Oracle RMAN, Oracle Real Application   
   Clustering.   
       
   • At least 3 years' experience in Microsoft SQL Server Administration,   
   including performance tuning, database security, scripting, High Availability   
   Always-On.   
       
   • Experience in administration of large SAP ERP Databases and third Party   
   SAP Bolt-ons is recommended.   
       
   • Experience in administration of HANA is recommended.   
       
   • SAP Basis Administration with Specialization in SAP HANA is recommended.   
       
       
   Competencies:   
       
   • Knowledge, insight, and understanding of business concepts and processes   
   that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's   
   business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.   
       
   • Knowledge of relational DBMS concepts, database backup and recovery,

   • Knowledge of Audit procedures and SOX compliance

   Responsibilities:   
       
   • Develops, customizes, configures, and installs database management   
   systems. Plans and implements new database instance and schema creation on   
   existing database management systems. Applies security best practices to   
   database environments. Schedules,    
   configures, and installs database upgrades and patches.   
       
   • Helps business and Information Technology personnel determine backup   
   strategies for database management systems. Schedules database backups based   
   on business needs. Diagnoses and resolves backup failures. Performs test   
   restores of database backups to    
   ensure backups are recoverable in event of database failure and/or disaster.   
   Performs recovery of databases to working systems. Reviews and advises on   
   System design for High Availability and DR capabilities.   
       
   • Administers intelligent agent software and database programming language   
   scripts to automate database management systems with monitoring tasks.   
   Responds to database management systems alert notifications. Diagnoses and   
   resolves database management    
   system problems.   
       
   • Tunes database performance to ensure defined business requirements and   
   service level agreements are met. Modifies database programming language   
   statements and adjusts memory parameters to enhance database performance.   
   Migrates data to and from    
   various database management systems. Performs export and import procedures for   
   database refreshes. Converts data between database management systems.   
       
   • Provides technical assistance to developers for database related code and   
   connectivity. Reviews database design specifications and application coding   
   routines to ensure adherence to efficient methods for database usage.   
   Develops, documents, and    
   maintains database management system operational procedures.   
       
   • Provide after-hours support when required, including On-Call problem   
   resolution and project related activities.   
       
   • Ensure compliance with policies for Change and Security management,   
   including SOX compliance and standard database security baselining. Ensure   
   compliance with ITIL processes including incident, problem and request   
   management.
