XDR and XDM understanding

   Hi,   
      
   I am trying to implement the xml file download from my  given email address   
   using the XDR and XDM.   
      
   My understanding is :   
   XDR is format of health care   
   XDM is used for Dynamic messaging so i can download at any specific given   
   folder stuture uing the XDM . Please suggest . Thannk you
