Please go through the       descriptions and let me know if you are interested                             Support Engineer              Category: Service Desk / End User Services              City: Cary, North Carolina, United States                                    Position Description              This position will support in scope applications. You will be responsible for       Investigating application-related system and user requests and resolving or       coordinating resolution of issues. You will work with all facets of       Infrastructure, Vendor,        Development & External teams on issues requiring deeper investigation, and       then coordinate resolution while providing feedback to users.                             Your future duties and responsibilities              Service request and Incident Management: Working on request of business       request raised via ticketing system and ensure prompt response and resolution       of the ticket. Additionally, working on the incident management for the issues       that result in downtime        and missing SLA for the applications.                             Problem Management: Creating and owning the problem tickets for the group and       ensure there are correct ownership and resolution identified. Able to work       with different counterparts for the resolution (Infrastructure, development       team).                             Relationship Management: Constantly interacting with traders, client       management team, operations, offshore support team, development team and       infrastructure team                             Change Management: Part of weekly CAB, performing a risk analysis of the       change that will affect the application and ensure change components including       implementation windows are correct.                             Disaster recovery planning and testing: Working with development and       infrastructure team to ensure all DR documents are up to date, applications       are tested annually and there is no risk associated with any of the server.                             Batch process management: Critical resource in monitoring batches that runs       during your time zone and handover the process to APAC team during EOD. As a       part of global team, helping out on weekend batch monitoring/patching/DR       activities on rotational        basis.                             Required qualifications to be successful in this role • Excellent       interpersonal/communication/presentation skills.                             • Application support experience with a minimum of 5 years in the financial       industry (Prime brokerage experience is a plus).                             • Experience working with relational database (Sybase or Oracle) and should       be fluent in writing and debugging SQL/Stored Procedure.                             • Proficient with Unix/Linux command tagged with knowledge of scripting       language: Shell scripting, pearl, python, java.                             • Experience working with monitoring tool (eg: Geneos) and scheduling tool       (eg: ControlM, Autosys).                             • Positive attitude: Enthusiastic, highly motivated and quality-oriented.                             • Team Skills: Ability to work with a global team using follow the sun model.                             • Management Skills: Excellent time management skills and ability to work on       projects to identify process improvements.              #LI-CG1              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
