   The wide variety of "flavours" of 5G technology that are being rolled   
   out in the U.S. right now have made the technology something of a   
   confusing mess for owners of Apple's new iPhone 12 models -- or really   
   of just about any 5G-capable smartphone -- and now a new series of   
   reports are showing that this may be the most confusing of all on   
   Verizon, which has long laid claim to the fastest 5G network in the
