   Verizon's 5G network is at a crossroads. After two years grinding   
   along installing short-range millimeter-wave 5G, it's aiming to flip   
   the switch on 100 million Americans' worth of mid-band 5G next   
   year. This "C-band" launch will help Verizon compete with T-Mobile,
