   MORGAN CITY, LA - Chief James F. Blair and the Morgan City Police   
   Department want to update all of the citizens on the current   
   situation.   
      
   There are various power outages throughout the City of Morgan   
   City. Crews have been out since day light assessing the damage to   
   power lines so repairs can be made to restore power to the city.   
      
   Cell service for AT&T and Verizon is down. Due to these outages there   
   is no cell service in our area. If you have WIFI at your house you may   
   be able to restore communications.   
      
   Weather conditions are Sunny with some winds in our area.   
      
   If you evacuated and you are planning to travel home to Morgan City be   
   prepared to be without power. Although the goal is for the city crews   
   to restore power today it is going to take time to fix   
   everything. Please allow city crews to work to restore everything.
