   AT&T's latest idea to help bridge the digital divide is sure to grab   
   folks' attention.   
      
   The Dallas-based telecommunications giant is giving away 1,000 laptops   
   to students and families across the U.S., including 200 reserved for   
   Dallas residents. The company has pledged to spend $2 billion between   
   2021 and 2023 on improving internet accessibility and affordability to   
   ensure Americans in underserved areas get equal access to education   
   and job opportunities.
