   RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- The government and mobile carriers are taking   
   steps to crack down on scammers that steal billions of dollars from   
   consumers each year by calling or texting. When it comes to scams and   
   robocalls, you should be getting fewer of these calls.   
      
   Steve Carlson with T-Mobile says, "We had another record year for the   
   number of scam calls identified and blocked. It was more than forty   
   billion which is a 75% increase over 2021."
