From: digest-replies@telecomdigest.net              by Mindy Abern                     Twitter now expressly allows cannabis advertising. This, of course,       makes it the first major social media platform to do so. Twitter       updated its ad policy to permit approved cannabis brands to target       advertisements in the United States, subject to the following list of       restrictions:              * Advertisers must be licensed by the appropriate authorities, and        pre-authorized by Twitter.              * Advertisers may only target jurisdictions where they are licensed to        promote these products or services online.              * Advertisers may not promote or offer the sale of Cannabis               a. There is an exception for ads for topical (non-ingestible)        hemp-derived CBD topical products containing equal to or less        than the 0.3% THC government-set threshold.              * Advertisers must comply with all applicable laws, rules,        regulations, and advertising guidelines.              * Advertisers may not target customers under 21.              https://www.mondaq.com/article/news/1320898?q=1803232&n=806&tp=8&tlk=19&lk=69              **********************************************************************       * Moderator's Note       *       * Elon Musk has announced a joint venture between Twitter and Space-X       *       * Some critics of the high price Musk paid for Twitter have conceded       * that they can's argue with the sweet smell of success!       *       * I have a great idea for Twitter's new jingle: it'll be a medley of       * Arlo Guthrie's "Coming Into Los Angeles," along with The New       * Riders of the Purple Sage's classic "Panama Red," performed by The       * Doobie Brothers!       *       * Bill Horne       * Copyright © 2023 E.
