|    Vim - gzip'ed text file - noeol ?    |

From: janis_papanagnou+ng@hotmail.com              It never occurred to me that Vim displays *.gz (gzip'ed) text files       in unzipped form; noticed it just by accident. - That's nice!              What I was wondering about, though, was that it displays the text       file with the marker "[noeol]" despite the text file's last line is       terminated correctly by a '\n'. - A bug? (Observed with Vim 7.3)              Of course the binary *.gz file has "noeol" but since it's displayed       in expanded form that tag is quite misleading and doesn't contribute       any useful information here (IMO).              Janis, curious              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
