   I think so.  If you use Vim as a Vi imitation, rather than as Vi   
   Improved, consider one of these:   
      
      The Traditional Vi (easy to build yourself!)   
           
      nvi2:    
      
   Otherwise, it's just a matter of Vim's defaults.
