   That could also have worked. However, we tend to be more lenient   
   toward follow-ups, even if the OP was accepted by mistake. Especially   
   if the discussion is not diverging further off topic, but if the   
   follow-ups seem to wrap it up or steer it back on topic. Threads are   
   killed only very exceptionally, i.e. if they "get out of control."
