   To be fair, the guys from devexpress say that all the bugs I filed   
   against CodeRush have been fixed and I haven't re-evaluated their   
   product for 2 years.  A lot can happen in 2 years.

   I don't think the parsing front ends of those compilers lend   
   themselves to refactoring work, however.   
      
   The one I have been keeping an eye on is the clang/llvm effort.  That   
   has the possibility of opening up the door for refactoring tools for   
   C++ because the license is BSD and permits commercial derivatives and   
   the clang folks will eventually get all the parsing ambiguities worked   
   out.  Clang can already compile boost, so that's a significant   
   accomplishment.
