   What exactly would you expect? Something like CURSES? If so, this is   
   AFAIK a XSI standard, so which benefit would you expect it from getting   
   it standardized by ISO as well? And why as part of C++? It's not that   
   vendors like MS are then going to implement it either - though you can   
   certainly find third-party implementations of it.
