This is not rocket science research, this is very very       basic middle-school research to find out that "C++/CLI" != "C++".              For those who didn't do it, finding it out later the hard way may be a       relatively cheap learning experience -- cheap compared to much more       expensive mistakes they could/would make later if they hadn't learned       this :)              Stuff like this is common practice. For example, there are all kinds of       C dialects out there that are far away from standard C.
