I guess part of the problem is how dependency injection       is preached in the Java world, where it often comes along with framework       lock-in, JVM voodoo, replacing code with XML, bean-style class       interfaces, and other bad things. The essence of dependency injection       has nothing to with that; it is a simple, powerful design pattern that       we should all love and use.              - Wil                                   --        [ See http://www.gotw.ca/resources/clcm.htm for info about ]        [ comp.lang.c++.moderated.
