   The ISO 9x talks about   
      
    64-bit IEEE double-precision number   
    32-bit IEEE double-precision number   
      
   IEEE floating point number as defined in ANSI/IEEE Standard   
   754-1985   
      
   80 bit '87 is not compliant with either of these, I think.
