   I don't think Patriot started off as a scam, though that's what they   
   became.  There were a few iterations of ShBoom, the ones I have work   
   well and the documentation is good.  They tried pushing the Java angle,   
   but it's a Forth chip really.   
      
   I was a keen RTX2001 user in a real (and successful in its niche market)   
   industrial controller, and the PSC1000 seemed a good next generation   
   upgrade, but it was not to be.
