So you cannot begin to imagine WTF happens when D
   is simulated by H?

   H simulates D
that calls H(D) to simulate D
that calls H(D) to simulate D
that calls H(D) to simulate D
that calls H(D) to simulate D
that calls H(D) to simulate D
until H sees this repeating pattern.

That is as simple as arithmetic.
