   Too much means more than is good. Too little means less than is   
   good. *Both* are bad.   
      
   Take a Vauxhall Astra with steel wheels. You want 90-110Nm to   
   tighten the wheel nuts.   
      
   Finger tight, 3-5Nm: the wheel falls off and you're driving on   
   brake discs.   
      
   Cordless impact wrench at max, say 300Nm: you'll strip the   
   threads, and you'll never get the damn thing off.   
      
   Too much means more than is good. Too little means less than is   
   good. *Both* are bad. The right amount — just enough — is what   
   works. Aim for the Goldilocks zone.
